After buying and selling properties in the past we had the mistaken impression that all real estate agents were pretty much equal, ( wrong ) !Recently we sold our home property with Remax Fairlane Truro agent, Lynn Colpitts. She changed our opinion for ever thinking all agents to be equal. Her insight of the market, guidance through the procedures, and availability to stay in contact with us at all times were well above any past experiences weve had. Upon our first meeting with her we felt a comfort zone because of how straight forward she explained all requirements. From that first encounter to the homes sale her professionalism and help continued to escalate. We would highly recommend Lynn Colpitts to anyone as a top number one choice for their needs if considering a local agent. D & L Levandier
I am writing as a concerned customer of Re/Max Fairlane Truro office. Recently my husband and I inquired about a house in the Tatamagouche area that is listed by one of your agents, Fran Grant. We are a young couple and this is our first experience with attempting to purchase our first home. Unfortunately, it is not going to work out for us at this moment, but we will be ready by end of summer. However, we are still very interested in the house and attempted to contact the owner in the event he was interested in renting or something along those lines. My husband shortly thereafter received a call from Fran Grant who was nothing but rude and conducted herself in the most unprofessional manner. Apparently she forbids us to contact the owner. I do understand that she is afraid she would lose her commission, and that would be unfortunate and not our intention, but it is pretty BOLD of her to believe she has the right to tell us who we can and cannot speak to. If we were doing something that was wrong (which we were not, this is hypothetical) perhaps she could take the approach of educator, perhaps explaining the etiquette of how things work when it comes to Real Estate and purchasing a home. I also understand it is not her job to educate us, but it is just standard customer service. These are very small towns and I believe we need to support each other the best we can, so why does she feel she needs to treat us in this manner? In the end, I just wanted you to know how she conducts herself and in the competitive Real Estate world I would think agents would do their best to work with the people in their area (i.e. Colchester County). I feel we are unfortunate to have encountered her, and I will be sure to spread the word in Tatamagouche that she is not a Real Estate agent people will want to deal with.
We just arrived in Nova Scotia and are looking for a home to buy. Nancy gave us such a great feeling about our decision to move to Nova Scotia. She is very knowledgeable about the province and extremely helpful and friendly! I highly recommend Nancy for your real estate needs!!!
